Young Players Code of Conduct
Sport London e Benfica FC share and encourage the FA’s Code of Respect, we believe that we all have the responsibility to promote the highest standards of behaviour. Young players have a significant role to play in this. All young players should follow this code of conduct and treat your team, other players, and match officials with Respect.
Young Players:
When playing football, I will:
- Always play my best for the benefit of the team.
- Play fairly and always show respect to everyone involved in the game.
- Play by the rules and respect the Referee.
- Shake hands with the other team – win or lose.
- Listen carefully to what my coach tells me.
- Understand that the coach must do what is best for the team.
- Talk to someone I trust or the Club Welfare Officer if I’m unhappy about things at the club.
- Encourage my teammates.
- Respect the facilities home and way.
I understand that if I do not follow the code, I may:
- Be asked to apologise to whoever I’ve upset.
- Receive a formal warning.
- Be dropped, substituted, or suspended from training.
